Unemployment Rate December 2013

The unemployment rate declined from 7.0 percent to 6.7 percent in December, the total non-farm payrolls came at 74.000, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Consensus was for 7.0% and 200.000 respectively.  The nonfarm payrolls came as a big surprise considering the drop of the unemployment rate. Perhaps the effects of the government shutdown are starting to weight.

Unemployment Rate November 2013

The unemployment rate declined from 7.3 percent to 7.0 percent in November, the total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 203,000, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Consensus was 7.2% and 180.000 respectively.  The unemployment rate is fast approaching to 6.5%, the Federal Reserve considers it as the key level they feel comfortable with, to start raising its 0.25% fund rates.

Unemployment Rate October 2013

Total non-farm payroll employment rose by 204,000 in October, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 7.3 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. No changes on Financial Sector and Professional and Technical services keep picking up in accordance with ConsulTree views.
